Bernard Kerik, NYPD commissioner during Sept. 11 attacks, dies

Former Mayor Rudy Giuliani, who tapped Kerik as a bodyguard for his 1993 mayoral campaign and later appointed him to lead the NYPD, said Kerik was like a brother.
